Description
after 26 years I had not done anything to the bath and the old lavatory top was showing it's age.it was 6' long and available by special order $600. I found two new cabinets including the tops and bought new faucets for less than the price of the a new top.I had previously removed the tub and made a walk-in shower and installed a marble floor. I had to use the guest shower once while painting the walls and I recalled why I hate tub showers. I replaced the light fixtures and two new mirrors
I have been absent a lot from the galleries, but I will try to catch up

wow I saw this live a few years ago and now look at it. You did a wonderful job and the painter can pant himself on the back, you know how the painter always make the carpenter look good. you know the tongue and cheek words here; the old joke You really did a outstanding job with the whole bath room

Superb re-do Richard! Several years ago I decided to upgrade my main bathroom for about the same reasons, house built in 1984(of medium grade stuff), been changing bit by bit to better materials. I had such fun shopping for fixtures, tiles, wallpaper for bathroom (and found some awesome deals!). Also tore off wallpaper in dining area and kitchen and painted, minimally papered, and bought new appliances except for dishwasher which I had bought the year before. Only contracted out what I couldn't do (carpentry, plumbing, elec, setting fixtures, installing new front and back insulated doors). But for about $5k I increased my home's value by $15K. Started working on refinishing the kitchen cabinets last year...still not finished. lol
