Yes, these are not albinos and they are found only in Florida as far as North America goes. As far as I know the only other White Squirrels are Asian White Squirrel but they have long haird ears. They are not a Zoo animal, they just survive there better because there are other animals in pend areas that they can run in with to get away from the Hawks that normally prey on them. For them Bears, alligators, Mountain lions and humans make good protectors. ;)

Wonderful shot, he's very cute. Beautiful with the dried leaves and lighting. I lived in Ohio once and they had them there as well. Quite shocking to see at first.

How cool, I didn't know there was a white variety. I had seen a few albinos several years ago in my old Illinois neighborhood. Nice image of the little critter.

My My! What a tiny little sweet heart! You know, ofcourse I've seen squirrels before..... in fact, closer that I would have liked :) though this one is most unique in it's white colour... can't ever say I've seen one like this! Beautiful background, as it truly brings out such a softness in this little guy! Awesome subject and capture, Dear Kim!
