Description

When Tara, Bill, Denise and I went to the Edmonds dockyard in Seattle, I managed to capture Mt Baker in the setting sun between the masts of some stunning boats with my newly acquired 200mm lens. It is probably not the most successfully composed shot but I really had no choice with all the boats in the way and had to work with what I had. I kind of like the result! Thank you for popping in and your great comments and favs on my upload "Welcome to Detroit" of yesterday. Stay well! Warm hugs, Carin xx

!!! How the heck did you get THAT shot??? jaw on floor You really have NO idea what you've done here, do you? That shot is IMPOSSIBLE!! For one thing, you can't see Mount Baker from Edmonds 99.9% of the time. For another, when you CAN see Mt. Baker, it looks like it's about a million miles away, and it's an inch tall. And you're worried about a couple of masts in the picture??? Yikes! If I didn't live here I would think that was a very good photograph, well shot and very nicely composed. However, I DO live here, and I can't IMAGINE how you got this. Outstanding!!

Great capture. I like the way you framed it and the light is fantastic. I like Tara's comment. You pulled a fast one on her lol! After I read Tara's comments maybe you used a South African 200mmm lens since it is an 'impossible shot'lol again.

Outstanding composition! The foreground adds interest and provides some perspective. Congradulations on your 0.1% image.

Quite a difference between the sharp clarity of the boats with their masts, ladders and general paraphernalia, contrasted against the soft subtle image of Mount Baker in the distance, Carin. Keen komposition, young lady!

Stunning view and capture; I don't know how you got between the masts either; I got several shots of Mt. Baker, but the masts are all right in the way. You win!!
