I stand on a mountain, alone
Around me the sky is dark and dreary
Lightning crashes and the mountain trembles
And I feel small and afraid.
I speak you name.
And suddenly the sky grows clear,
The thunder stops,
And I am not alone, I am not afraid
Such is the power of your love.
I stand by the ocean,
I gaze out across the rolling seas.
The waves rise and swell, the wind howls,
I feel so scared, I want to turn and run away.
But then I speak your name,
And the seas grow calm, the wind grows silent
Such is the power of your love.
I stand at the edge of time,
I gaze back on all my days.
I see years of longing, of sorrow, and regret
I see years of darkness, and loneliness, and pain
Then I speak your name,
And I see a bright tomorrow, and days filled with joy and happiness.
Such is the power of your love.
I turn, and I look forward, beyond time, toward the final day of future,
toward the great unknown.
I see riches and glory, I see heavenly delights
I see a world of forever, but none of this entices

This is the softest, most engaging view I've seen of young Simon... you could make Arnold Schwarzenegger into a kindergarten teacher, couldn't you? Oh wait, that's been done.
