Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

''I can never seem to catch them as they jump--one of these days.......'' Yeah, those TRICKY 'kayakers'! (WINK). Keep tryin', beachzz!! (GRINS)

Sure they're dolphins? They could be sharks, then it WOULD be the kayakers that are jumping! Excellent capture of the finny evidence of water mammals!

Beautiful to see this. Sun on the water and two creatures enjoying it!

It would be great to catch one jumping, but this image clearly shows what just happened. It's a wonderful portrayal of the mystery and attraction of these beautiful animals!

If you sing a pretty little song, I'm sure they will jump! Just get your camera ready... Nice shot. Aloha

Sweet! I managed to catch a whale jumping of the SA south coast once with a video camera. That is seriously great luck! :)

Ooooo, like this. Fins like this could give you quite a start if you didn't know what was underwater. Inky black water...is it really?
kbrog
As long as it's a dolphin fin and not a shark. If it was that later, he would have been paddling faster. ;D LOL! Excellent capture!
wysiwig
Fantastic capture! It might make someone nervous if they didn't know the difference in fin shapes.

Scary - looks like a shark fin. Nice light on the water Marilyn. Dana
