Description

Welcome Once Again to all my friends/regulars and those stopping by for the 1st time... Well this time around I was contemplating not posting this image I created simply because of the disturbing nature but it turned out so much better than I thought it would that I didn't want to just tuck it away in a folder to collect dust..It really doesn't need a story behind it as it speaks volumes on it's own.Basically we all live in a world that in the back of our minds we as human beings hope and pray that this scenario never plays out in ones life time. So when this completed it's render time and I began to absorb and take it all in I was wondering what a fitting title might be and after just a few seconds(considering that's all you have if you have the misfortunes of actually seeing this happen before you)and that was ...."Final Thoughts".. I'll leave it up to all of you to decide if you want to comment or not...I'll understand if you chose not too...Like I said...I only posted this because I thought it turned out far better than I expected it to and really wanted you folks to see it for it's artistic value....hope I don't offend anyone...was not my intentions to do so.... "Just a quick note" We have silo's within striking distance from where we live as well as a visible nuclear power plant....so I've raised my boys with them knowing if it was ever going to happen we'd go quick....Hopefully......(smile)... Created in Bryce 7 with post work as always in Adobe Elements 8...

An excellent scene and I guess when it gets to this stage there isn't much time left. Excellent work with the lighting to get this effect.

Very intense! You know it's a great render when it makes you squint for a moment. As for what I would be thinking... "Is this happening all over the world or is this an isolated incident and we are the unlucky ones?" Then I would kiss my wife.

I always wondered were the change came in something we are but should not be, perhaps it was here, a fear given small children at school that in case of one of the many bombs pointed at me, to hide under my desk, always wondered why all these bombs were pointed at me must have done somthing bad, and the desk really doesn't look that sturdy. Such a beautiful image for such a dark subject made me stop and think for a moment. Should give kids a yellow magic umbrella they are too young to think about bombs and the end of well ....... everything. Sorry I wandered Dayna xx

Well, if it ever does happen you are where I'd want to be, as close as possible to the epicenter. It's good to see this scene so we do not become complacent. Your scene did come out beautifully, well done!!

In the rush of daily life we sometimes put the possibility of annihilation out of our minds. But we are no safer now than during the 1960s. Powerful sentiment and render.

Since I was a child, we lived with this as a possibility. Never knowing if one day it would happen and it would take days before it did us in. (Fall-out zone from N.Y. city) Excellent work! :)

You have done superbly well here. Yes we hope we never see this. I have never been rich enough to buy that mega underground structure, that may or may not.... be of any use. or actually work.

Excellent post, I used to have nightmares in the 70's/80's about post nuclear war and this reminded me of them (at the time "Threads" was released on TV I think). Excellent imagery and let's hope this never happens!
