Description

I found this little guy, all of 50mm (2 inches), in a river in the Cederberg, South Africa. That is a leaf above his eye, I did not want try and remove it in case he hopped away. My research puts him in the group of Ptychadena (ridged frog). I have not been able to tie it down any further. Clive A colleague has enquired and identified this one for me: Cape River frog (Amietia Fuscigula)
