Description

In the distant or not too distant future will space research stations like the one featured in this image be located in the orbits of the planets of our Solar System. Shown here is one such station which could find itself located in Saturn's orbit to study the planet and its rings. Also shown is the orbital shuttle which will ferry astronaut scientists and researchers around the planet and to sections of the ring system. Shown as well is the supply ship which will ferry replacement crews and supplies to the station from the far distant Earth. Close-up's of the Orbital Shuttle and the Supply Ship to follow.

Interesting developement of the 'pinwheel' station aka 2001 ASO. All those solar panels must generate some power, maybe a bit more than 'scientific' research going on here........

Nice render... Due to the great distance from the Sun, do you have enough solar panels there to do any good? Might not your options be limited to nuclear reactors like all probes that g out beyond Mars now?
