Urban entertainment & comic artist.BIO Since I was a child I was always fascinated by comic books. In grade school I never paid attention to in class, usually in my own world sketching out superhero's in my notebooks. In the mid 80's my interest in hip-hop music grew, I got heavily into graffitti art. After a few close calls with the police I strayed from my artwork. During the 8th grade recording demo's, producing beats and writing lyrics started to take over my life. Forming a underground hip-hop group the "Demigodz" in the early 90's became a major move for my future. Now I was starting to get involved in digital artwork, creating demo covers, logos, silkscreen designs to promote my crew. In the late 90's I was hired by indie hip-hop label 'Bronx Science' and created over 75 album/12" vinyl jackets for them. Recently I have been doing freelance work for several indie hip-hop companies as well as teaching myself the basics of digital photography and 3d art. Now I'm married with two kids and my interest in comics/fantasy/sci fi art is being revitalized, recently purchasing a Wacom I can now get back into my lifelong passion of drawing.

For a first render, this is pretty awesome. I could see how it would make a good cover. Excellent...

Thanks... I pretty much had to learn everything I needed to do this cover within 2 days...I read ALOT of tutorials! lol

hmmm... maybe so, but I have to confess that I am skeptical. There's a lot going on here that makes me think that this is not exactly your FIRST render ever. Did you have some help? Have you used either Poser or Bryce or some other 3D software before? At the very least, you obviously have some previous graphic arts experience. If this is truly your first foray into Bryce and Poser then, WOW!

Yes this was my first render I ever made.. I had no previous experience with either Bryce or Poser.. I just read tutorials on here how to export figures from Poser to Bryce, and how to create planets and atmospheric lighting. I did the planet rings and the UNIVERSAL text in Photoshop, the K-otix logo was done in Bryce by importing it as a terrain... I'm trying to teach myself how to use both programs right now, hopefully I will have some more renders to put up in a few weeks...Im still learning..thanks (I do freelance graphics for record labels in New York but I mostly do photographic work)
