Description

This was our first apartment back in 1968. It was upstairs over the garages. It had a living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a single bath furnished for $85 a month! Of course we did not have direct TV dishes on the roof or air conditioning.

My first apartment was on the second floor and a month after I moved in, I noticed a drip starting on the livingroom ceiling. I reported it and was told nothing could be done as long as it was raining. It rained for 3 weeks straight and the drip became a steady flow and it filled 4 trash cans a day until one morning I woke to find the ceiling had fallen in and the rain was pouring in on just about everything I owned. The landlord refused to give me my deposit back saying I did not leave the apartment in the same condition it was when I moved in. Amazing!
