Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Its amazing how early a surfer will be out there. I guess the early bird gets the surf. Nice capture. Aloha

What a great shot! Wow. The light is superb. I want to yell at the guy on the right, though ... "watch out for the piling!" :P

My take,...the guy on the right is wondering...is that fin attached to a shark or a dolphin? I too am really liking the early morning light!

I'm with Tara! They are very close to the pylon but I guess they know that pier so well! Great light and cool capture!

I love the color of the water. The fellow on the right looks like one of my people. Bald, bearded and thick in the waist but still surfing. Hope lives.

A very good one!

Early to get up and go. I'll never tire of these shots.

Fantastic shot. Ya know, if you look at the piling and the water disturbance around it, it almost looks like it's heading for the guy waiting for his wave...sort of like "Attack of the Killer Pilings" coming to a theater multiplex near you. Great shot and I love the POV...almost a bird's eye view, but angled nicely...and yeah, the light is superb. The colors are amazing and warm too.

Beautiful natural lighting and the guy to the right has to watch out for the piling. Dana
