Description
Sam Therapy's Daleks exported from Poser with Pose2Lux Alpha .5.4, rendered in Luxrender .8rc1.
14 hours render time, with a CRF (Camera Response File) applied, namely "Advantix-400CD", 1 Emitter light source.

Excellent Image! I could not work with such long render times. What was the computer configuration?

a Dell E521 AMD Althon X2 64 5600+ running at 2.9ghz with 4GB of Ram, Windows 7 64 bit. Luxrender is not a fast renderer, to quote, "LuxRender is a physically based and unbiased rendering engine. Based on state of the art algorithms, LuxRender simulates the flow of light according to physical equations, thus producing realistic images of photographic quality." basically, while there are faster render engines, Lux is free and gives excellent results... just add Patience... (plus you can speed things up with Network rendering (I aim to build a small render farm later in the year for this) and soon OpenCL supported GPU rendering in what they term as "Hybrid Mode" - CPU/GPU/Networking all in 1 render)
