Description

Not much time to shot this past week or comment, next week promises to be just as busy so I've went back in time a couple of weeks to found this shot of a House Finch that I like. The snow was coming to an end and the sun was beginning to peak through the clouds cascading a nice light across the backyard just in time to highlight the colors and detail of this beautiful little backyard visitor. I used to breed hand raise the chicks of society finches, imported from Africa. And, I can say of the many species of birds, the finch is probably the most popular, yet unappreciated bird of all. Why, even the yellow canary is a finch, yet, I you tell a canary owner this you can expect a tongue lashing! Thanks for the image, it is beautiful and well appreciated!

What a sweet and cute little Finch! I do like the clarity and perspective you have captured here in your image; as it brings out such lovely and detailed features of this little guy. He almost seems to be pretending to be camera shy.. hehe... so sweet!
