Scene setup and rendered in bryce with postwork done in photoshop and a little in painter.

I do believe "Naked Beauty" is about as close an analogy to the word 'perfection as a render of this genre can possible get and still be considered hand-rendered art. While photo-realism is a worthy goal up to a point - if it doesn't retain that certain finesse of the artist's touch that this render accomplishes - then it becomes without soul. There's such a deep suppleness achieved between the young lady and her magnificent setting - that somehow not only compliment one another - they demand each other. The image has just about everything going for it that an artist could ever hope to achieve. For me Scott, the crowning touch is the gentle shadow of the fern cast on her buttock. I am one awed and envious man!

Ok.. first off human skin reflects to a certain extent.. adding specularity or reflection might help and a bit of transparency-maybe. The hair doesn't look real at all like its supposed to be fake or its just made for this picture.. I'll give this picture a 6 on my scale.. its great but in the lightwave section i've seen people that are real compared to this..

I agre with evermore to an extent... I think that some specularity might make it look cooler, but for the love of god, this image is beautiful!!! And comparing Bryce to Lightwave? I find that naive, and nearly insulting to all of us. Scott, this image is top-notch, and I look forward to your next one!
