As usual, I'm way behind, and today I found a post from Cecilia (SSofia) about how badly things have deteriorated in Mexico. We've known it's dangerous there, but it didn't really seem to touch us. We are so far from Mexico, almost at the border of Canada, so it seemed distant. Today it became a reality, much closer, because now someone I know and think of as a friend, is right there in the heart of it all. Her life, the lives of her family, the lives her friends are all at risk. The safety of their homes can no longer be relied on. People are dying. Neighbors, friends, family. I don't know what we can do, but I do know we can all pray for Mexico and all those who are caught in the insanity of the drug wars there.
