Really cool patterns and textures in this concept, Claude, almost looks like eroded rococo. I'd heard about Xanadu before but not XANTHE, with its lost civilization, having gone the same way as the Mayans.

...Les Xanthiens vivaient à l'intérieur de gigantesques cavernes aménagées dont on aperçoit ici les systèmes d'aération ainsi que les structures carrées où se trouvaient logés des cristaux qui transformaient la lumière du soleil en une énergie nécessaire au bon fonctionnement des cités troglodytiques où des soleils artificiels éclairaient non seulement les cités mais aussi de vastes jardins où d'innombrables plantes étaient cultivées...Comme leur nom l'indique, et ainsi que nous l'avons vu sur quelques fresques les représentant, les Xanthiens étaient blonds à la peau bleue. Ils craignaient la lumière de leur soleil qui brûlait leur peau ; peut-être était-ce dû à une déficience génétique, ou bien étaient-ils originaires d'un autre système... ( tiré du journal de bord du capitaine Gull Yver, commandant du vaisseau Laputa ) Fantastique création, comme d'habitude !! Bravo, Claude !!

Very strange structures these beings have built, almost hive like. It always amazes me that people want to live so close to each other. Perhaps these are beings who are more insect like, such bees who prefer living in colonies. Amazing cities they have created with such wonderful warm colors!
