Description
I'm not a great renderer and modeler as many of you here :( This render is my second attempt in creating a scenery in 3ds max using displacement map and particles. I'm nost satisfied with the result here. I still need some more tips and tricks in creating a beautiful scenery in Max.
Your help is very appreciated.

The picture is great but I have a small trick that can make even better. The mountains furthest away from the camera looks great, but the closer the mountains are to the camera the blurrier are the textures. You can solve this problem by making another mountain or plateau close to the camera and use a more detailed texture on that and create the illusion that you're standing on that mountain and taking pictures of the great looking mountains further away. Maybe this can give you some ideas. Good Luck!

Nice Marsscape! :) Good modelling and texture! Looks like only bumpmap used, add something in color channel too. I agree with Grottroffe about closest areas, his advice is good, I use often this method. For good enough relief check out plugin "mountain" (it makes me about 50% of my terras). Very useful for rock texturing is material TopBottom (cool one!). For second attempt your rocks are great! Keep working! :)
