My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

WOW! What a beautiful and so rasor sharp capture Tara. Thanks for the info too. I am so sorry you are ill. I hope you will be well soon. HAHA ! The title is fine :)

Doesn't look strong enough to lift anything substantial but what do I know. The faroff mountains are beautifully framed by the hoist straps.

This is a strapping image Tara, beautifully seen and captured.

Splendid image!!

Get well soon! I do boring titles when I'm well... Most interesting to see a foreign boatyard!

Golden. Triple-decker boats must be a sight to see! Clive

The top ladder style rails seem a tad frail compared to the solid beams! Would not want my boat if I was lucky enough to own one lifted with that..

Excellent shot Tara! The light was so perfect that day. I love the warm tones! Sorry that you are sick - do you think it was me who infected you??? Gosh - I hope not!

The lighting in this is wonderful; it makes me feel dreamy and relaxed. Hope you get to feeling better soon because this stuff going around is awful.

Both the lighting and the details are just beautiful. Hope that cough goes away soon!!

Stunning shades of late afternoon light, softly embrace this very aesthetic boat hoist. Your pic of docked boats conveys a very peaceful mood to me. Whatever its' weight capacity...it sure launches and removes a lot of boats at the beginning and end of every season. I happen to have pictures of the boats stacked three high...see what I can do:)

Wonderful composition :) I hope you're better soon. That coughing stinks! My daughter is just getting over being ill, and I am popping vitamins like they are candy, hoping to avoid it!!!!

Don't feel bad, Tara - I'm brain dead, and I haven't coughed in months.... Excellent photo, here. Nothing like a little 'lift' to 'pick up' one's spirits! Hope you're feeling better, my dear friend! Sends a virtual cough drop

You have caught a beautiful light in this lovely capture, and I saw this sort of thing done when I was in Perth Australia, and was absolutely amazed at how they did it.

I've seen these in Chicago and it's kinda fun seeing boat stacks. I love the light in this and the lines. In a way, this has me thinking of something that might appear in the Nemaean universe. I think it's the colors, and the quality of the light, and who knows, maybe Dorianna will find way to get herself in trouble near, of all things, a hoist. I really love this shot and the different lines guiding the eye in really wonderful directions.
