He knows his market and target audience:) The gray tinted background sets this off beautifully.

WOW! This rocks...of course, when I saw the title, I immediately wondered if you'd accomplished the mission you'd been assigned and purchased perfume from N'york as well. I really love the selective coloring as the reds and the bright, vibrant, lively colors pop so much more sharply. I also love the human focus and the implications of "life as usual" which seems, to me at least, so incredibly New Yorkish. This is really super stuff!

Start spreading the news, I’m leaving today I want to be a part of it - New York, New York These vagabond shoes, are longing to stray Right through the very heart of it - New York, New York......(Frank Sinatra) Great night atmosphere in this shot of the colors, detail, patterns and variety so common in NY, Carin!

Outstanding post work. New York is the only city I have been to where I can actually feel the electricity in the air. Years ago I was in Manhattan for a wedding and sharing a hotel room with my New York cousin. Around 3 a.m. he says, "I'm hungry. You want to get something to eat?" I replied, "Now?" He say, "Yeah, let's go." We go down to the lobby and out onto the sidewalk. Two doors down is a grocery store with a cafeteria style display of hot trays along one wall. You had a choice of eight different cuisines. There is a reason they call it the city that never sleeps.

Gotta love the hats with the built-in mohawks! :D Your color pop is perfect. I looked at the image for quite a while, enjoying the details, before I scrolled down. When I saw Marilyn's comment I had to go back up and look again ... I hadn't noticed! Now THAT is appropriate use of selective coloring.
