Description
The Hurricane Mk IIc was a cannon armed variant of the famous Hawker Hurricane, and the first version to be armed with the new 60lb RP-3 rockets. Used first in North-Africa, this version of the Hurricane quickly proved it's worth in the skies over Romel's Afrika Korps...
Note the enlarged air intake under the belly and the Volkes Airfilter under the nose... the Hurricane was "tropicalised" for desert operations... also you'll notice that this set of aircraft are armed with 60lb He SAP warheads... denoted by the yellow band on the warhead...

Nice action shot...I read somewhere that the Hurricane was made from canvas over a wooden frame - is this correct?

Outstanding ..... such detail.... very real... You might wish to softn the planes shadow. Ground shadows would not be so sharp edged.

the aft section from just behind the cockpit was fabric and framing... as were the flight surfaces and rudder... the wings and forward fuselage around the engine and cockpit were of metal construction... if i recall correctly...

i will keep the ground shadowing in mind... may see about redoing it after i complete a few products that i need to finish for my site...
