Description

This is an Acrylic painting on canvas 80 x 60cm. Have been fighting with it for a while, after I tried it with PASTEL. Had two trees to the left, as with the pastel, but I found them very disturbing in this painting, so I removed them and so on. Now I like it better, but I am not sure I am fully satisfied with it. I will leave it for now. Have a beautiful day. It is still very cold outside, but atleast sun is shining :) Thank you so much for viewing and commenting on my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)

This is gorgeous. I peeked at the pastel version too and it's gorgeous in a different way. There's a lighter quality to this, and I like your choice to remove the trees from this version. I love them in the pastel version, but the feeling in this one is somehow different: I don't exactly know how, but I think the two trees taking a tea-break "off canvas" is a good idea. I really like the impressionistic strokes in this, especially in the sky. This is a really nice compliment to the other piece...they're so different, and yet the same in the way they each draw me into them. This one is so nice and light with vibrant, living colors. Yeah, this is good!

This version is lighter, more sunny, more airy. I like them both, though. Those large, dark trees are such a part of our normal landscape here, they look thoroughly natural and comfortable to me. They didn't bother me at all! Two very different looks, and both excellent pieces.
