Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Is he riding a wakeboard? The shape of the spray resembles riding the wake of a larger vessel. A nice sporteeee shot mateeee!

Excellent! I'm glad he/you avoided a head-on collision; thing could have gotten messy! I love the spray, his focused expression, his pose, the whole composition of this photo. Amazing. And now I have the image of you doing the photo ninja thing, on your own board, riding it backwards to get this shot. I love this!

Great shot Marilyn. I won't tell anyone about that long pier in Huntington Beach. Even so, you might have a future with Surfer magazine.
