This puts me in mind of an alien invasion (maybe in the Earth's oceans), and I agree about the violent feel. Excellent work, and beautiful palette!

I dont know why but this reminds me of my favorite writer Stephen King books 'The Dark Tower ' A barren and dangerous landscape . Its a great image .
