A waste of this world . All those people who scatter their cigarettes butts everywhere. But among them-the proprety is mandatory .. A shot that tells me my friend. Congratulations and many thanks for sharing the clase of certain people ((5 + +)) Un déchet de cette société . Tout ces gens qui éparpillent leurs mégots de cigarette un peu partout . Mais chez -eux la propretée est de rigueur.. Une prise de vue qui me parle mon ami . Bravo et mille mercis de partager la clase de certaines gens ((5++))

Kicking butt, Christo! Clive

I recognize this brand. Mild and satisfying...a civilized cigarette if ever there was one. These days, it violates the protocol of political correctness to call cigarettes civilized, but hey...even the ancient Romans smoked--after a fashion, so the habit isn't gonna die out anytime soon. Having said that, I can say that this is a perfect capture...I love the gritty realism a cigarette butt offers whenever one appears somewhere. I also love the details, especially the ash remaining just down at the filter. Whoever smoked this one was out to get his or her money's worth, and as the Tom Waits song said, this person "Smoked his friend, right down to the filter." Wonderful shot. I love it, and the way that with a little bit of anthropological detective work, all sorts of stories can come out of this. Well seen and well photographed! And yeah, I love it when a photographer can get down on the belly for a shot that most people would ignore. That's dedication! And it gets some interesting looks from people too!

Thanks, it reminds me that I left that habit behind 18 years ago. Saved enough to buy a brand new Jeep Sahara in 2003, ten years after I quit.

You did a very good job Christo. Who would think going through all this for a lousy cigarette bud? A very interesting topic well captured Chrsto!
