Description
20 million years ago two Phorusrhacos longissimus take a rest on the Patagonian savanna at the beginning of the dry season.
In this scene I made use of the Cliffs Pack by Luigi Marini (C3D) and Dinoraul's excellent Phorusrhacos model.

Great image! The lighting is so realistic, and the landscape feels completely organic. The scene looks so tranquil at first glance, and then you realize the birds are both looking at something and it creates a great sense of tension. Super work.

If my memory serves me correctly they were the dominate carnivore in South America for like 20 million years and once they came to North America they lost their reign as the Saber tooth was the dominant carnivore their..To think the love and hate relationship between cats and birds goes that far back in history is amazing...Just like your creation/scene above...(smiles)...Excellent Work!
