Description
Many thanks to all of the kind people at Renderosity who have commented on both my written and graphic work. Your generous words have been most sincerely appreciated and I am most heartily grateful for them. The internet technology we use truly makes everyone on the planet neighbors. Renderosity is a wonderful venue for bringing these neighbors together. So speaking in a planetary context, I (who live in California, on the Mexican border) have neighbors near at hand who suffer egregious hardship at the hands of dark forces. Take strength from this: In the entire history of human habitation on this planet, in the final analysis, the dark forces have never triumphed. Nor will they triumph here. On the other side of the planet, I also have neighbors (both in Renderosity and otherwise) who are besieged by the savage upheavals of a restless and implacable geology. I am with you in spirit.
Much of my childhood was spent in Ethiopia. I invite those of you who are fortunate by happenstance to envision what I, as a child of ten years felt, seeing on my way to school, African children my own age, starving naked in the gutter. This has not changed. Today’s rendering is a bridge. It is meant to be a bridge of goodwill between my planetary neighbors and myself. Godspeed to you all.

Gorgeous image Stan and your description makes it all the more impressive. It would be so wonderful if there was ever the possibility to actually construct such a bridge between cultures and countries. With the state the world is in unfortunately I'm afraid such a bridge would be commendered by the army and used to transport tanks and weapons across the divide to kill each other. Stan, This looks like a great triumph celebration of Good winning over the turmoil in this world. I think most of us online, have friends scattered around the world. The reflection of these beautiful colors should be a positive sign to each of us!! That we are all connected and could agree to disagree,rather than fight. Man is not nearly smart enough to understand this concept. Many of us feel helpless in troubled times and really try to defend something we have no control of and then the fights start.. Thanks again for sharing Stan. We all should pray for the less fortunate/daily.

A wonderful bridge you have created here and I hope everyone crosses it and thinks about and does something about getting along with other people. We are seeing here after our earthquake a lovely side of people mostly but their are some who are taking advantage and stealing from others. Beautiful colouring and design in this bridge.
