Description
I nearly forgot about this photo. It's been sitting in my "to upload" file for a while. I haven't been on any African Safari's (nor do I plan to), I took it last year at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. I love that place. The animals have large habitats to roam about, and aren't in a cage.
It's a beautiful day here in my part of Southern California. Yes, it is very cold and trying to rain, but the sky clears every now and then and you see the blue with huge clouds and get a glimpse of the newly snow covered mountains. Oh, and the air is so refreshing. It is supposed to get down to the 30's and 20's tonight... brrr, and a possibility of snow in the lower elevations. Snow is a very, very rare thing here.

Excellent shot! I was at the Wild Animal Park two weeks ago and this lion was still on top of the Range Rover. Must be his favorite spot.

I love this. There is a wild safari park in my home town on the Gulf Coast and I haven't been yet. I hope to see it when I'm there in Oct. I wonder if it will be a fabulous as this.

Unique lighting effects in this shot of the lazy lion atop the Range Rover taken at the San Diego Wild Animal Park...a spot that's too expensive for me to go to at the moment. But I am closer to the Park than you are, up there in Santa Clarita. We had rain last night, so I assume you must have gotten some also.

He he not that i want a live one to be lying on my vehicle.Lions is so huge and powerful. When i visited Kruger national Park many moons ago while we were driving one of the Lions walked pass our vehicle. I can only say they are humongous if they walk pass very close to ones vehicle. I can also say all our windows were closed when the Lion walked pass the vehicle.Stunning capture.

Ah, a lion doing what lions do best! Nothing! They're cats you know, and doing nothing is the most supreme of the feline arts. This guy is evidently a master at the art, and I love the chaise-lounge he's claimed for himself. Range Rover makes the best lion beds around. This shot really rocks and I love the look of content laziness on this guy's face.
