Description
"Could you at least, Pretend to listen to me Darkling?" he crossed his arms, then reached out a hand almost imploring. "I'm at the end of my tail with you." His red eyes studied the way she wrapped herself in her own arms, almost a mirror image of his own. She was so much like him in some ways, and in others she was like an alien child, He couldn't even begin to fathom the thoughts that went through her head, or the reasons she did some of the things she did. It made for a difficult relationship between them.
It didn't help, that she had seemingly blossomed over night. One eve she was the small timid, awkward child- slight and seemingly fragile, and then the next she was a young woman turning every head as she passed.
She still insisted on slipping her guards and escaping to the surface and the sunlight. Most of the time, accompanied by that dog.
He closed his eyes and shuddered a little, with visions of puppies for grandchildren in his future. It made him sneer, even as a part of him he loathed spoke up and said at least she was not going without an escort, even if it was the dog.
"Oh please Father, humor your daughter, and pretend you even care what I do.. " Her snide remark cut him to the bone. " Why don't you just give up and let me live on the surface, out of your sight and concern."
He growled then, out of all reason to deal with her. He did know how to show he cared more plainly than ensuring she was safe, ensuring she was where she could be kept well under wing. But she did not see his concern, she only saw it as a wish to control her.
True, he loathed the way she dressed, he couldn't comprehend the need of hers to be so difficult and different. True he would keep her by his side to watch her if he could. But he worried so much for her, more than was healthy for a demon lord, more than he could afford to show his enemies. She was a weakness that he would die for.
"You are confined to the keep. If I hear even a breath of you going outside the doors, I will have you fitted with a chain!" He snarled, not waiting for her to utter another infuriating reply, teleporting somewhere where he could rip and rend, until the frustration he felt excised itself to a managable emotion that he could stuff down where it would not get in the way of everything else he must deal with.
She was so much like him.. and so much, Like her mother..

I should really write down the things I use, as I'm working.. ><
Did love using all different bits to make PD's outfit though :)
Story was written on the fly, as I posted this. Unless it's a story about my RP Characters, I generally play with poser till a picture I like comes out, and the words just follow. With the Rp Characters, generally something in playing has sparked an idea and I build the picture to fit it.
Thank you for taking the time to have a look. :)
Your kind words, do much to encourage the fragile creativity that insists on being expressed.

A very beautiful picture. Even more I like the text! Who wants to let go of it - to admit that the children want to go their own way. Very profound and yet so close to life! Wonderful work! Great!
