My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Amen! We had three inches of snow at our house and all the pretty little crocus got covered, and then the temperature dropped to 20. Brrrrr! I love your picture that reminds me that there are pretty flowers in our future...I hope.

Bilal kai fa!...okay, I think I've been reading Dune too much; I shouldn't be able to write anything in the Zensunni language, and yet...I start off a comment with the Fremen phrase that essentially translates, sorta-kinda to: "Amen to that." Or something. I hope I haven't just said something like: Your stillsuit smells like a Harkonnen boot. Ah, but I know how to say "Harkonnen" in the Fremen language and since that didn't pop up in what I said, I think I'm safe from insulting anyone. And so, now that I've rambled on about non-existent languages, I have to say that I'm with you on hoping for spring to get here. We had snow too...a dusting, and enough to make Corey get all sniffly; I think his sinuses are allergic to winter. I will say, though, that I love this photo. It's so warm and alive, and brilliantly evocative of the sun, and it's flat-out gorgeous too! This is a super shot and yeah, nice and warm!

warmth? sun? not in Washignton..... Nice idea, Tara

I understand this - the climate is shifting. End of Feb and our predicted temps are ramping up to 34°C on Tuesday. Autumn will be late in arriving this year by the look of things. Get well, Clive

Om my gosh - can Bill find his shovel under the snow??? Wha-ha-ha!!!! Fantastic image Tara - I love your choice of postwork and the light is superb. Clive may get a late autumn down in Cape Town but we can certainly feel a nip in the air up north! Hope you will see daffodils and sunshine soon!

So beautiful! Sorry you're sick too, it's a miserable time for some of us right now, eh? I love your comp and postwork here, the sickness hasn't reached your artistic sense, at least!

A superb capture of these beautiful flowers and I agree with the climate change we have had virtually no summer down here just an odd hot day or two and then rain. Mind you other parts of NZ have had a lovely summer just not us this year. I hope your weather improves soon and that you feel better soon.
goodoleboy
Exquisite clarity, muted bright colors, patterns and textures in this stellar floral capture. Take care!

Well, I hope you're feeling better, Tara! You certainly made me feel better with this capture - like sunshine radiating from my monitor! We just had another few inches of snow here - actually a few days ago. It's almost gone now, but we still have March to go through. I can't wait for the first warm weekend - time for a few Canon moments! Lovely capture!

Bill Cosby once commented on you part of the world in an early album. He was visiting Seattle and the sun came out one day. "Oh, what is that!" the natives all cried. Then they built an altar and sacrificed a calf. This is a brilliant image, warm and sunny. For sunny try a hot toddy or two or three. After a while everything will look sunny. For warmth try chicken soup, a bed with lots of blankets and a cuddle with Bill. I hope your recovery is going well.
