Trees without leaves always look defenseless and in need of protection. Nicely seen Harry. You've even captured sun rays streaming through on the right...cool touch.

Interesting to see where you live.

As I look at this, I think of the tree as being lonely....Soon it will be full of leaves and birds!

Sweet shot! It is a stark image and not something that I would expect in LA. Dana

Wow, this is really an amazing shot Harry. So lonely it looks but to remove it from the scene would make you feel as if something was missing.

lord, it was a long time that I was away; this was posted in February . A very moody, very wintry shot, even for a city that doesn't have the bleak frigid climes that we have. It feels cold & desolate, and it's beautiful. I think your angle, with the street moving past the center of the shot and past the tree, gives this shot a depth beyond the frame; and the tone & softness make it seem a little like a dream. Your thumbnail for this shot has an actual sun in it; the posted pic must have been the pic after...both look compelling; in this one, with remains of a flare that seems like it originates off-screen, there's a mystery lurking just out of shot...Mysterious, gentle and beautiful. And the tree is very articulate, against the silent wintery-bleached street.
