Description

Here you see a village on a lake complete with paddle steamer in Switzerland. I think it may be Lake Lucerne, I am sure someone will know for sure!! T.Rex has confirmed that this is Lucerne and it is a city not a village.

Yes, it's Lucerne, Switzerland. The reconstructed ancient wooden covered bridge can be seen just above the modern bridge in the foreground. A very beautiful, pitoresque city with a rich blend of different architectural styles. I'd love to return there for a "tourist" type visit. Very nice photo capturing a lot of the city flavour, and the wonderful side wheel ferry. Keep up the good work! :-)

Most charming holiday destination - a dream come true ... with all it's historical architecture - it looks like a toy-village for an electric train set-up. Lovely Jeff, BB
