Description

As Chip (chipka) has mentioned in some of his recent uploads, he, Corey and I went to the Cheesecake Factory in Chicago to get out of the cold. There we continued talking and laughing and enjoyed wonderful warm drinks and delicious cheesecake. When Chip's Key Lime Cheesecake arrived, out came his camera... and mine! Once I have taken this image, Chip looked up and smiled with the words: "It takes very little to amuse me"... I thought it was so adorable!! I think he spoke for all of us photographers! My sister laughed at me for taking fotos of crackers; I so have to show her this one!! And as for Chip, he'll take a shot of just about anything. He walked halfway thru Chicago with me just so I could get a shot of this neon sign I'd seen the night before--without my camera!!

Key Lime Cheesecake??? I can't tell you how many times I've heard about that outing, and in ALL those times, NOBODY TOLD ME it was Key Lime Cheesecake! Oh man. That's my absolute, all-time favorite. Before, I thought it was nice that you stopped there. Now I'm absolutely green with envy, and starving to death. sigh Anyway, it's a great candid portrait of Chip. You make me miss him!

Yes, he is pretty adorable! That's why we've been together all these years. This is a fantastic shot of someone very dear to me, by someone else who's also become a good friend. Man, that was a fun day! My only regrets are that it was so cold and we didn't get to spend more time together. A lovely shot and dedication. Thank you, Carin.

What a shot! What a day! I happen to have a weakness for keylime cheesecake and well...such good company that day! And I'm still trying to get my head around that hyena attempting to crash the barbecue and then coming back later with a friend! That, and the elephant in stealth-charge mode! Yeah, I absolutely must get to South Africa! Thank you for posting this and for also making Chicago a bit warmer on what had to be one of the coldest days ever! You know it's cold when Chicagoans decide to actually obey signs announcing bits of the lake-walk being closed due to ice. Wasn't it around the time this shot was taken that you'd also told Corey and me about Kayla declaring (somewhat theatrically) that it would be a good idea to procure perfume from New York for her? Thank you for the dedication and the fantastic memories!!! And yeah, now I want cheesecake!
