Description
Shot a few days ago on the last day of February. A blood-pumpimg MAJORLY stormy day. Record setting high for late Febuary at 77 degrees farenheit mixed with nickel size hail covering my yard and roof. My emails were already flooded with tornado watches and warnings.... I have learned that large hail on a old tin roof is VERY loud:) I braved the lightning to collect some of the perfectly sized round orbs of Mother Nature's wonder and they are stored in my freezer for future pondering... :)
All of the critters and birds were silently hiding but this formation of birds overhead my backyard trees did not seem freaked at all. Just returning home.
"The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned."
Maya Angelou (American Poet, b.1928)

When I read your title (before I even saw the photo) I thought "fly little birdie, fly" ... they are flying :) ..and yikes on that hail! That's pretty good sized, maybe even safety-helmet worthy ;)
