I think it has nothing to do with transportation. I think it is an enigmatic emblem left behind by a superior civilization. We are meant to interpret it, but we do not know how. there scenes behind the inscription (the inscription is what looks like roadways to most of us) but we do not know how to interpret those scenes either. At the bottom, to the left of the inscription, I see what may be farm fields, but I am not certain. Opposite what appears to be farm fields seems to be a representation of a city, or perhaps an industrial zone. Above and behind the inscription, I don't know. It looks menacing, like some kind of war apparatus. Guns, spears, I don't know. What does it all mean? It is fantastic, enigmantic, and beautiful
