My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I wasn't too sure what I was going to see when I clicked on the link... great capture, Tara - nice looking building or what's left of it.

I love your treatment of this 'rustic' scene.

Fascinating find, seems to me the surounding help it still stand. Wonderful texture too on the roof shingles.

The vanes of the roof on the right reminded me of your "Cyan Abstract with Engine" post on Tuesday. Clive

And as to why anybody would let a good barn decay.. But they do.

Ashes to ashes - dust to dust! The death of a lovely old barn! Most wonderful image and special Tara treatment! I love it Hun!

This look very much like an old barn near my house--I've always wanted to take some fotos of it, but it's on a narrow road with no parking. Like that should stop me?? lol Anyway, this is great, things do just come back from whence they came.

"Golden lads and lassies must as chimney sweeps come to dust." I guess it applies to everything. A striking image well captured.

I just love old dilapidated structures like this - nature will reclaim all in her own good time! This is great - wonderful color, texture and mood. Perfect composition. Another masterpiece, Tara!
Myel
Excellent! I like the texture of the roof and the dispersion of the light near the grass. M.

I remember that day...gray, a little rainy and wet, wet, wet everywhere. This is a perfect example of taking a relatively non-descript object and turning it into a fascinating, artistic piece via outstanding postwork. It is a wall hanger IMHO:)

I remember this; your shot is much better than mine! Great work!!

You are actually looking at the portal to history and everything has to walk this road in the end. Great mood Tara.
