Sunset 02-03-2011 (yesterday)
with my sister and her daughter at the Beach yesterday..
A nice view from the Pier-Restaurant over the very calm North Sea.. It was special.
I explained to the little one yesterday how it worked with the round earth.. 8 years now (25 febr 2003/2011) and she found it fascinating.. all the people under our feet hanging upside down :D
Our thoughts are of course with the 3 Dutch military men who were captured by Libya during a risky attempt to save 2 Dutch civilians.

There are so many disturbing things going on in the world today. So much sadness and sorrow and destruction. Hopefully the Dutch will all come home safely. Your image is such an island of calm and beauty. I had to smile at your explanation of the world to your little neice .. I remember (yes, I remember ALL that way back, grins) learning about the world being round, and people walking upside down .. and it boggled my brain then, and it does today! How can people walk upside down and not fall off the earth??? How come the ocean doesn't empty into space? And who is really upside down? Us? or them? ROFL!!
