I'm pursuing my passions: writing prose (historical fiction, urban fantasy), photography, and poetry (mostly classical Gothic poetry). I am amazed at the creativity within this site. It is like looking at a gemstone: all the different art forms and styles are its facets. Oh, why PSDuck? I make duck noises, especially the "chuckle" and the "food call". Yeah, I talk to ducks, go figure. Done so since I was a child. PSDuck (Allen)
I also coach and mentor ESL college students.

You know, I sit here in China with a "I LUV China" pin, and even tossed a few with some big boys up in Shandong Province who used to shoot at us in the Korean DMZ. What I mean to say is, as far as veterans are concerned, if it weren't for a few control freaks who run the show(s), we all might as well be fishing buddies or drinking friends. Seriously, regardless of the branch, country, or cause, Patriots share one thing, a sense of duty. When 9-11 broke out, my neighbor across the street from my Las Vegas home got called up for reserve duty as a AWACS Crew Chief. They sent him to the No-Fly Zone. Three months later he came back to say not only he being "PAINTED" they had to deploy anti-missile defenses when they were being shot at. And this was months before we decided to invade Iraq. This alone was justification to take that camel dung sucking piece or ring worm filth out of this world. I may disagree with the tactics on the battle field, and invading Baghdad itself (I would have used siege warfare), but as far as I am concerned we were justified, and we should have done it ten years earlier, then gone home!

I like what cryptojoe says about us all being fishing buddies (or in my case, sci-fi geek buddies) and I really would prefer the snarly, metal, high-tech, kinda cool peacekeeper, and I'd love to drink beer with someone who flies one of those (or flew one) and well...that whole drinking beer thing would happen while the aforementioned beer-drinking buddy was OUT of the cockpit. What an interesting piece of history you've photographed here, and I love the point it makes.

yep i agree and i go even further. the todays generations in the western hemisphere are not aware or not able to see that a lot of people lost their lives to guarantee their freedom wich they just throw away and take as granted.
