Description

A mid afternoon image from January. The link here is taken the same time of day just a few months later in April.

"Two for one"

What a difference in the arc of the sun and how much more light fills the valley come April. Suppose daylight savings adds to that as well. :) Am quickly picking something from the folders this evening and as I glanced by this one an old classic popped into my head from "Deep Purple", hence the title. The early days of January offers very little light into the valley and as that light fades the fog forms along the Merced river. Hidden in the Shadows on the right is Bridalvail falls and basking in the winter sun on the left is El Capitan. Missing all your fine works the last few weeks and it doesn't look as if burning the candle at both ends will come to an end anytime soon for me. Gosh how different this scene looks just a few months later. This one has a real chill in the air but a it is still a beautiful scene. A lovely capture and I hope your work load eases up soon.
