Welcome to my bio. Guess you are interested who I am and where I get my weird ideas. Well I'm a retired teamster. Yup trucking company for 30 years. No I was not a driver but worked in the office. Had to do dock checks so I remember going out and having to use a pencil since it was sooooo cold ink was freeze..
Started doing Daz as a hobby to keep busy. From there I purchased a printer that can handle 13x19 prints. Have 11 hanging on my walls. Like to change them for the seasons. My favorite of course is Halloween.. I have no art experience or training so its been a long learning process. I am not shy to ask questions to the more experienced. How did you do that? What did you use? This is the way one learns.
Divorced. Living alone with my 2
cats. My 21 year old cat is in pet heaven since 1-14-2011. She led a good, long life with me..
My second love is playing Kingpin Life of Crime, a first person shooter online game. Oldie since it was released back in 1999. First of its kind with all the violence and yes swearing. Just too funny. . My hand/eye isn't what it use to be, but sometimes I win matches...Vita pats herself on the back :)
I was born in 1947 so you figure out my age. But if you tell anyone I'll have to kill you.

A beautiful picture. She will not be alone. A little advice to the light: A spot left out to right? And one above her? Use only a bright point light in the lantern - so you can find out, where the "real" shadow would go. And where you must place the lantern itself. Then put the spots in the near of the lantern glas and set them out to the targets. So you can reach better shadow - more realistic. I like this picture anyway and look forward to see the changed version.

you want me to be frank HUH??. well i zoomed in ,and i must say most exquisite lighting, very neat and well done.this was relly worth several tries as you mentionned. very nice work and absolute fav. my shadows never come out realsitic or in the right direction heheh, but i dont look for reality for me its all fantasy.but its a talent to know how to do it indeed.

The overall, as well as detailed, lighting effects are quite well done. The blend of background to foreground is also seamless, without any eyebending distortions. Very well done.

Actually for me..not wanting to be the spoiler of such a well designed setting with great placement and an all around good scene that.... (I really try to shy away from criticizing others I truly do because I never like saying anything other than positive comments) but since this is what consumes my time now(learning lighting)..that for me...the light coming from the street light should...IMO...be casting a shadow on her opposite shoulder and shadow opposite of that...because she sits closest to the light with her right shoulder that it is the one needing the light..and with the call box giving off such a bright appearance that too would add more light to her right side as well..try dimming the call box light and switch shoulders with the light and shadow and if you don't think it looks more correct then next time I will just say Good Job and move on...Lighting is hard...I still have times where I have to go and google various images and look to see how the light should be and then try recreating this into what i do..trust when I say I'm no expert but do think I'm grasping the concept...Just thought to speak up since you too are learning lighting... -=Will=-

A very fine composed scene and set up with a beautiful well posed character! Concerning the light: Lony-wolf and KnightWolverine have some good suggestions. But if you are interested I can reconstruct the scene and show you some suggestions in images? Rhanagaz

What a great presentation of solitude... Well done! Vashek

I see the error with the lighting. Yes looks like the street light is shinning on her oposite shoulder. I'll be more observant in the future.
