Description

The town of Reading used to be the centre of a thriving market community but, over the years, other industries took over. There used to be a huge Cattle Market each week. The site is still in use, but mainly as a market for coaches, carts and traps - the livestock is long gone. The house next to one of the entrances is, I believe, used as an office for the market and this mural recently appeared on the wall. As this is just down the road in which I live, it marks the end of my little walk after my X-Ray. ------------------------------------------ Original Photograph 3-Mar-2011

I wonder what the significence of the number 18 is? Has it really been 18 years perhaps since the last livestock was taken there? Or perhaps it is an 18 certified mural?..... damned censorship! :-D
