This was a takeoff of an artist over at Artzone.com named JR Malone. There is an image in his Gallery entitled (Morning Scout Patrol it's gorgeous check it out http://artzone.daz3d.com/index.php?/gallery/user/vi/&mid=157465&aid=46085) Anyway this image inspired me to do one very similar, but as I always say "I don't like using other people's stuff straight up.". So here are some Gunships I made up, thanks to PowerFusion for the spare parts and JHoagland for the chassis & cockpit. (Blue Thunder). I had to take the Helicopter apart in Hexagon and save only the pieces I wanted for this and just for this. The pilot and copilot are some really low poly German soldiers I re-textured. The retouch took about 30 minutes enjoy folks. Incidentally, I did have JR's permission to plagiarize his image and he was thrilled with what i came up with. Lighting is by Lightdome 3 available at Daz3d.com though the dome itself was replaced with one i custom made using a stock aerial photo and a simple sphere. Finally the clouds were created with Fogtool 2 also available at Daz3D. thanks for viewing y'all.
