Description
I've posted several photos of the construction of the south entrance to a projected underground parking garage (see my Wall Section series - http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2176760 ).
In this image I have turned around 180 degrees and made a panorama of 3 photos looking north to west. North is to the right in the panorama and west is to the left.
To the right, one can see a long concrete guide frame used for rectangular drilling. When the hole has been elongated, a reinforcing iron mesh is lowered into it and concrete poured in. Next, the roof is poured. After that, the ground underneath is gouged out (it's called building from the top down).
The huge plastic wrapped thing in the middle is the plant making the clay slurry for washing out the broken rock from the rectangular drilling, and for making concrete. The plastic wrap is to keep out snow and freezing temperatures.
To the left/west, drilling and excavation has started for the foundation of an 11 storey apartment building.
The large beige building in the background is the large Triangeln shopping center. Part of the construction is to make the shopping center larger, with a much larger underground parking. The glass high rise behind it to the left is the Hilton hotel.
This is my first attempt at a panoramic view using my digital camera (and NO tripod!) and Photoshop. Seems to have worked out fairly well.
Comments are welcome.
Enjoy!

First up....well done on the first panoramic shot! I have never attempted one....yet! Second! That's some BIG construction site! Good to see the make the stuff on site and not move hundreds of trucks through the town.. Well done.. Rob

Great panorama and fascinating that they 'create' the materials on site!

Excellent explanation of a very unique building process. Most of all, I am thrilled to see how your panorama turned out. A tripod is helpful but not necessary when outside in good light. Now, you'll have to try some scenery for us. When I first learned how to do a pano...my question was where to go to get a really big view. I have since stood on top of a tower and done a 360 degree pano with good results (handheld) and most recently stood very close to a MiG-29 inside a hangar and shot three images (on a tripod) to get all of it in one photo...and practically everything else in between. Well done.
