after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

Steve, you did a fantastic job on this lovely and thoughtful birtday dedi. You are so right about how hard it is to fully understand the horror those in Japan must still face, and we need to keep them in our prayers.

This is a FANTASTIC work of art, Steve! Wow - one of your best in a collection of magnificent art. Wonderful thoughts and words, also. It's amazing - no looting.... Can't picture that here. We need to take a lesson (or several) from the culture of Japan. Magnificent!

A very nice dedication and yes, seeing all these happen you can just shake your head and offer them a prayer. An awesome work, Steve, with that cute cat laying down on the chair, you're so good with tiny details that catches the eyes!

Beautiful image and dedication Steve. Yes one has to wonder what is happening to our world lately. Maybe it is all leading up to Dec. 2012 and the supposed end of the world as we know it ! Yes the people of Japan are amazing. Over here people would be shooting each other and looting stores. I get a kick out of it just like New Orleans, people were stealing TVs and all that but their homes were destroyed !

Nice work and gift. It's been tragic all over for me. A good friend and co-worker quit our work last Monday because of issues with the new bosses. We worked together for 12 years. Then later that day, I had to find my older neighbor dead in his bathroom. He was 88, but it's still sad since I've known him since I was born. And it was not a good thing to find a long time friend dead. Something you don't forget. Just when things are turning I hear of this mind blowing tragedy in Japan. It made all my issues seem insignificant. A crazy world. You just seem to have to roll with it so you don't get dragged under. I hope for all the best for those in Japan and I pray the reactors are contained.
