Description
I wasn't sure about posting this under Carrara, but decided the light and models were all rendered in Carrara and only the background was a photo. Which is the same as with my sci-fi shots.
The placemat, books, watch and chess pieces are all digital. Everything else, desk, keyboard mug etc are in the original background photo.
One single light source to match the window to my left and a LOT of blurred shadow.
The digital placemat is actually on top of it's real counterpart. So the top is digital but the edge is real.

I'm amazed at how well you've combined the photo and the rendered elements. It's actually hard to tell just looking at it what's rendered and what's photo! Superb work in all regards.
