Description

Sorry for the delay in posting, but I had a wrangling match with my computer the past few days. This is a manipulated photo of a tree in Padova I shot a couple of weeks ago, and a detail from a 18th-century Japanese novel I'm the proud owner of (together with Flavia). The Japanese novel was a gift from an antiquarian neighbour of ours who found it in a collection of books he bought many years ago, after a number of favours I did to him. It's written, or better, drawn with ink on rice paper, and it illustrates a story as a cartoon or something like that. Unfortunately I don't know Japanese and I can't say what the words written near each scene mean. However, I dedicate this post to all the Japanese people and those who love Japanese culture. Thanks for your kind comments.

A very kind tribute for these troubled times. The Japanese seem to be suffering no end of grief in this last week.
