A break from cute, little frogs!
Instead, I present a cute (?), not-so-little Banana Slug. This lovely creature was taking his time in the plants on the side of the Portland Zoo walkways. Well, he could have been in a hurry, but how can you tell?
The slug is naked, but c'mon! Do you really care?
Is it cute? I guess "cute", like "beauty", is in the eye of the beholder. Size: this one was 12 inches at least! (about 30 cm) If not cute and small, it is at least colorful and won't spook and run (or fly) off when a photographer approaches.

Update on Tink, our cat. She died yesterday, about 6.30pm, in my arms. Her struggle since being poisoned by tainted cat food imported from Red China has ended. Three years ago January, she was given less than a month to live, due to kidney damage and imminent failure. In a quality of life issue, Lea and I decided to spoil her until she departed from us, and so we did. Up to just days ago, she was active, she purred and begged seafood from us when we ate it. And then... It was quick.

Banana Slug huh? Lawyers being snakes, this must be what they look like after they morph into politicians! As for your cat, I feel badly about what happened. Many people in China lost their pets as a result of the tainted food too. Word is, when they found the guilty parties, they were punished. Picture a speedy trial in the morning, then the guilty are frog marched out in chains, and executed. I wish we could do the same in the states when they catch corporate criminals like the clinic in Vegas where they reused needles and spread HIV/AIDS to innocent victims.

sorry to hear about your kitty Allen :( at least she had a great and caring owners...i think that is the most important for a pet. About "cute" slug...well she looks too wet for my taste lol^^ hugs for you and Lea! Ines

Great capture and I think he/she is cute! Sad to hear about your cat...! I lost my good cat friend almost two weeks ago. He became 18 years old - he became skinny with diabetes and had a severe infection, too. So I decide to finish his life at the vet...I miss him...
