Description

Ground crew and pilot compare notes on their star pupil! This wonderful Spitfire VIII flies in the colours of fighter ace Wing Commander Bobby Gibbes. About an hour after taking these shots, I got to very briefly sit in the old gal's cockpit. I was giggling like an idiot and thinking 'I'm not worthy......I'm not worthy'!!!!! See below for a different view of the same scene.

Yep!.... I did that as well! LOL One of the BIGGEST highlights of my life was to sit in a Spitfire and be told by a current RAF pilot what was what! Heaven.... Dude, remember it.... Rob
