Description

yesterday the moon was the closest to earth since 1993 and luckily there were only minor clouds.Yesterday I went to the Altus, Oklahoma area and to Quartz Mountain park. I got up yesterday at 3:45 am and left my house at 4:30 am and drove there and arrived home about 6:30.I had no intentions of doing anything except relax.then---- I seen where I wrote myself a note about the moon.so dug out my lens plus a 2x convertor and tripod.here is one of the resulting captures. thanks for baying at the moon if you like and all comments. obviously I was unable to do the galleries yesterday

Great capture.. hard to believe done without a telescope. you must have a very fine camera :) You can actually see the roughness.. something that does not show in most lunar photos. Excellent work!
