My only knowledge of Thulan is in connection with the work of H.P.Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos, although many authors have made reference to it. Your rendering is remarkable. The sense of a real colonial outpost is overpowering. The individual structures are depicted with amazing attention to detail. One gets the sense that within each of them is an entire futuristic metropolis full of amazing technological marvels. There is also the sense that they are under threat from unseen external forces. This is superb work. Bravo!

Totally outsatnding representation of an imposing satellite structure from another world - I like the polar setting and the cold winter clouds add an additional touch of realism : Favourite !

Very impressive! Some suggestions: 1. On the central superstructure, the left side seems too well lit. Does the left part of the underside of the topmost pancake really get that much sun? I would expect more shadow, more black/gray where the setting sun does not touch. 2. There is a lot to look at. The fighter jets and crew in the foreground, the superstructures in back, the great sunset. However, everything is in focus. I don't know what you want me to focus on. Have you considered adding some blur in post? You could blur the rearmost superstructure, or both superstructures, or the rearmost superstructure and the foreground fighters/crew. If you were to move the camera in closer so that the foreground fighters/deck took up more of the scene, you could the have one or two of these fantastic superstructures in the background, out of focus. 3. In traditional paintings and photography, it can be beneficial if the outer edges are at least slightly darker than the center of the piece, to draw the eye in. The radar tower element on the rightmost side is adding a lot of light to the far right of the image. You might consider moving that to the left side of the screen, where the left edge of it will be in more shadow, or cropping the tower where it starts to see sun. 4. The most saturated blue is the foreground snow, which I like. The flight deck is a more muted blue, and I feel like the fighters/crew/deck lose out by being more muted. 5. The little bit of bright snow at the very bottom left edge of the image, under the flight deck, doesn't add value to the image and could be cropped out or darkened. Despite my suggestions above, I really do like the image! The color gradation with distance is well done. The fact that the hard light of the sunset doesn't start until partway up the base of the superstructure, to subtly suggest a hill or obstruction off-screen, is brilliant.
