Description
In 1941 the USS Arizona settled into the mud of Battleship Row... the victim of Japanese bombs in the opening of the Pacific Theatre in WW2... but most people forget that she was a vital and active ship long before events that made her famous...
She was launched in 1916... modernized several times... made numerous trips to Europe... including partaking in the honour guard for President Wilson to the Paris peace talks... amongst other glories... she was even eventually the Flagship under Admiral Nimitz...
Here we see #2 Float Plane on it's catapult above "X" turret... the shot is taken from abaft the stern catapult under the wing of #1 Float plane looking forward from the fantail... along side are the masts of USS Pennsylvania... her sister ship, moored along side in Battleship Row circa the 1930's...
Uss Arizona is a work in progress by me and will eventually be fully poseable right down to the cranes and propellers

Awesome. I have been to Pearl Harbor and the Memorial. You model will be a great tribute.

Great rendering work!

ty... i'm glad you like her... I wanted to get a crewman's perspective of being on the ship... so i set the POV at roughly eye level looking up towards the plane and the masts...
